Ronnie played many woodwinds with big bands in the 60's. Here, he is playing the Baritone Sax solo on "Moanin", with Charlie Mingus's Big Band. He was just 22 years old (I was 23), and at 78 he is still strong and blowin. Keep it going!
Eric played a number of woodwind instruments. Pictured here, playing the bass clarinet. He was trained as a Classical Musician, and started his Jazz career playing with the Chico Hamilton and Charles Mingus bands. When I first heard him it was hard for me to get my head around his music. So I went, and bought his album "Out To Lunch". I was lucky enough to see and photograph him when I did as he passed away a year later at age 36
